Overview
khushimotors.com is the showroom website for Khushi Motors. It lists every vehicle available in the showroom, with multi-language, multi-currency and multi-location support. It runs on Next.js with a Node.js back-end and is built to rank in search. I'm responsible for the live site, including deployment and ongoing optimisation.
The challenge
A dealership with showrooms in several cities and countries needs one website that shows the right stock, in the right currency, to buyers in each market, and still ranks in local search against classifieds and other dealers.
The solution
I built the site on Next.js for server-rendered, SEO-friendly pages, with a Node.js back-end serving the showroom inventory. Language, currency and location support lets one site serve every branch. Ongoing deployment and optimisation keep it fast and current.
Key features
Full showroom inventory
All available vehicles are listed online.
Multi-location
Supports several showrooms. The live site lists Mombasa and Kisumu (Kenya), Kampala (Uganda) and Dar es Salaam (Tanzania).
Multi-currency and multi-language
Pricing and content adapt to the buyer.
Search by make and model, plus category rows
SUVs, trucks and commercial vehicles, with stock status such as 'In Stock' and 'Shipped' (as seen on the live site).
SEO-optimised
Per-page metadata, canonical URLs and Open Graph images (as seen on the live site).

Tech stack and why
- Next.js
- Server-rendered vehicle pages index well and load fast on mobile, which matters for dealership search traffic.
- Node.js
- Serves inventory data and shares conventions with the rest of the Khushi Motors & Ocean Trading ecosystem.
- Linux VPS, Nginx, SSL
- Production hosting under my direct control for deployment and tuning.
Architecture
- Location-aware inventory: vehicles belong to a showroom, and visitors can browse by location.
- Currency and language handled at the application level rather than as duplicate sites.
- Technical SEO baked in: canonical tags, Open Graph metadata, server rendering.
- Shares the ecosystem with Ocean ERP, the Ocean Trading website and the auction platform.
- Deployed on a Linux VPS behind Nginx with SSL/HTTPS. Node.js processes are managed with PM2.
Process
Gathered requirements across showroom locations.
Designed listing and vehicle templates.
Built the Next.js front-end and Node.js back-end.
Did SEO and performance work before launch.
Production deployment, then ongoing optimisation (my current responsibility).
Outcomes
- Buyers in every market can browse the whole showroom online, in their own currency.
- One codebase serves several showroom locations, which keeps maintenance simple.
- Search-friendly pages give the dealership an organic channel alongside marketplaces.
